The manager of the event in the Union of Jiu-Jitsu, Abdulla Al-Zouabi, noted that the regional tournament of the Professional Jiu-Jitsu League in Abu Dhabi, which is currently taking place at the "Mubadala Arena" in the Zayed Sports City, is an excellent platform for preparing to participate in the upcoming "Abu Dhabi Grand Slam" tournaments.
"The tournament provides a huge benefit to all players of various categories and weights, as it gathers elite athletes and directly contributes to the ranking point accumulation, qualifying them for participation in major tournaments," noted Al-Zouabi.
He also emphasized that "the power of superiority in this tournament reflects the level of development of the sport in the United Arab Emirates and also the players' desire to reach broader horizons on the world stage."
The tournament gathered 1,200 athletes and players from 80 clubs and academies from 73 countries, among which 400 players are from various clubs and academies from the United Arab Emirates, reinforcing the leading positions of the country in organizing high-level jiu-jitsu tournaments.
